Creating an urn is a beautiful commission, which I take very seriously. The process of sculpting the raw material of the clay feels ceremonial, as I am holding a prayerful space throughout.

 

I  listen to the wishes of the family, to design a vessel that honours their deceased loved one appropriately.

The process of designing and making can take up to a month, and costs between £300 and £500 depending on the complexity of the make.

It feels good to honour the gritty remains in this way. To keep them safe until the time feels right to let them go.
