Venue:  Denmark Farm Conservation Centre, Lampeter, SA48 8PD Wales

Come, delve deep into the magic of this land; kindle new fires of creative inspiration, through soul nourishing contemplation…

The Celtic festival of Beltane marks the threshold into Summer, celebrating the fertility of the land, honouring the union of sacred feminine and sacred masculine energy towards a fruitful season. It’s the time of birdsong, may blossom, bluebells, wild woodland magic & floral wonder!

We can tap into this vibrant time of exuberant optimism, to renew  the creative fires within ourselves, shake off the last dust of winter dreaming and ready ourselves for action.

Our beltane journey together will include song, meditation, mandala painting and ceremonial labyrinth, in the setting of a beautiful nature reserve. There will be space to explore and connect with the wild and our deeper wild selves.

Denmark farm offers a range of comfortable accomodation, set within a 40 acre nature reserve. With freshly cooked vegan meals, cosy study space, outdoor fire circle, roundhouse, space to roam and connect with nature. Places limited to 12.

CONNECTING & BELONGING - Summer Mandala Retreat

4pm Friday to 3pm Sunday June 11th to 13th 2021;

Venue: Hill Cottage Retreat Centre, Rhos-y-meirch, Knighton, Powys, LD7 1PD

“The land is the real teacher. All we need as students is mindfulness.”
- Robin Wall Kimmerer

Through embodied movement, sound and stillness, opening a pathway to the Flowering Heart of our Being, so that we may orientate from a place of balanced, heart-centred aliveness; truly listening to the guidance we find here.

This careful attention can help us extend awareness to the Wild Beauty of the Summer Land at Hill Cottage, to the web of All Life, to a deep sense of our own belonging.

Creating a mandala of Heart-Centred Gratitude is a way to reflect this back; anchoring our experience and acting as a personal Shield that can hold a visual reminder for future practice and in daily life.

Anne's series of ceramic sculptures titled 'Connecting and Belonging', created during 2020, for the land at Hill Cottage, will also provide focus points and inspiration for this course.

At the centre of a spiralling storm, there is stillness. The further out we go from the centre, the more turbulent the movement becomes. We are living through intense times, in which it is truer than ever to say 'Change is the only constant'.

Finding ways to realign and restore balance, on a day by day, moment by moment basis, offers us the best chance for a Thriving Life, in harmony with All Beings.

Hill Cottage  is located in the Marches of mid-Wales, near Knighton in Powys. A tranquil space where individuals can reflect, be creative and interact with others and the environment in mutually beneficial ways. Set in ten acres of land it includes an independent market garden, young orchard and woodland, natural swimming pond, gardens for contemplation and wildflower pastures bordered by a meandering brook.

In this workshop we'll cultivate a quality of attention that helps us appreciate the exquisite geometric forms in nature and positively influence how we relate to the world around us.

Studying the geometry of nature, multi cultural mandala and the symbolic language of shapes, we then apply our observations and inspirations to mandala making; drawing geometry with compass and ruler and painting with watercolour, while taking time to relax with guided meditation.

Suitable for all levels of ability.
Cost £40 including materials
