In this workshop we'll cultivate a quality of attention that helps us appreciate the exquisite geometric forms in nature and positively influence how we relate to the world around us.

Studying the geometry of nature, multi cultural mandala and the symbolic language of shapes, we then apply our observations and inspirations to mandala making; drawing geometry with compass and ruler and painting with watercolour, while taking time to relax with guided meditation.

Suitable for all levels of ability. Materials provided.
Cost £40 including materials

CONNECTING and BELONGING - Summer Mandala Retreat

June 11th to 13th 2021

Venue: Hill Cottage Retreat Centre, Rhos-y-meirch, Knighton, Powys, LD7 1PD

“The land is the real teacher. All we need as students is mindfulness.”
- Robin Wall Kimmerer

Through embodied movement, sound and stillness, opening a pathway to the Flowering Heart of our Being, so that we may orientate from a place of balanced, heart-centred aliveness; truly listening to the guidance we find here.

This careful attention can help us extend awareness to the Wild Beauty of the Summer Land at Hill Cottage, to the web of All Life, to a deep sense of our own belonging.

Creating a mandala of Heart-Centred Gratitude is a way to reflect this back; anchoring a personal Shield that can hold a visual reminder for future practice.

Anne's series of ceramic sculptures titled 'Connecting and Belonging', created during 2020, for the land at Hill Cottage, will also provide focus points and inspiration for this course.

At the centre of a spiralling storm, there is stillness. The further out we go from the centre, the more turbulent the movement becomes. We are living through intense times, in which it is truer than ever to say 'Change is the only constant'.

Finding ways to realign and restore balance, on a day by day, moment by moment basis, offers us the best chance for a Thriving Life, in harmony with All Beings.

Hill Cottage  is located in the Marches of mid-Wales, near Knighton in Powys. A tranquil space where individuals can reflect, be creative and interact with others and the environment in mutually beneficial ways. Set in ten acres of land it includes an independent market garden, young orchard and woodland, natural swimming pond, gardens for contemplation and wildflower pastures bordered by a meandering brook.

Anne has spent the past twenty years studying and practicing Reiki, Yoga and Ayurveda, to live well and enable her work as an Artist, Grandmother, Dreamer and carrier of Sacred Songs. She creates mandalas and ceramic sculptures using sacred geometry.

The course is fully residential. Delicious vegan meals included in the cost of the course.

Accommodation is also included in the course fee.

Rooms are shared, with limited single room availability.

Contact Anne  to discuss the availability of single rooms, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

All courses start at 5pm on the first day and finish at approximately 3pm on the last day.

Cost: £350 (some concessions may be possible) A non-refundable deposit of £120 payable at the time of booking to secure your place. Balance is payable at any time up to 6 weeks prior to the course commencement.
