CREATIVE DAY RETREAT

Saturday 7th June
10.30am to 3.30pm
Venue: Derwenlas Village Hall, Machynlleth, SY20 8TN
A restful day of meditative art practice, inspired by the beauty and medicine of the rose.
The workshop will include guided visualisation, the sacred geometry of nature, traditional herbalism and Ayurvedic wisdom, as we explore the medicine, beauty and symbolism of the Rose.
Drawing geometry and mandala painting invites a meditative sense of calm reflection; a place to play, process, acknowledge the divinity within all things and how the oneness expresses through us. The design becomes imbued with the quality of our intention and attention, resulting in a kind of visual energy map, symbolic of our inner world.
Suitable for all levels of ability, materials provided.
Cost: Sliding scale £50/ £40/ £25

The ICF is Europe’s premier ceramics festival which is held at Aberystwyth Arts Centre on the campus of Aberystwyth University on the mid-Wales coast. Since it began in 1987, the three-day festival has grown to become the UK’s leading ceramics event. It offers teachers, students, ceramic artists, collectors, working potters and amateurs and lovers of craft, the chance to meet and study the work of distinguished, internationally known potters and ceramicists from Wales, the UK and around the world.
I am exhibiting shrine sculptures in the South Wales Potters exhibition.
