Beneath the Waves

‘ Deep in the soul, below pain, below all the distraction of life, is a silence vast and grand -

An infinite ocean of calm which nothing can disturb. Nature’s own exceeding peace which passes all understanding’'  - R.M Bucke

This mandala honours the flow of the waters of life and explores the mystery of the depths beneath the surface activity of waves and changing weather. In a place of light penetrating darkness, finding ease, moving freely through an 'otherworld' of brine, kelp, seals and anemones.

How does it feel to be in or out of ones ‘element' and comfort zone? Can we trust the flow of life to take us where we are meant to be, even when the landscape is unfamiliar?

The geometry of thirteen is associated with the moon (13 lunar cycles per year) and the element of water: Just as the highest tides correlate with full and new moons, our bodies and minds also feel the lunar pull. We are constantly being guided in this way, by very many unseen forces.

With this mandala I invite you to fearlessly align with the flow of Life's Mystery, integrating fully with the changeless        essence of your being.
